Sometimes you just sit in silence and ponder on events. On how something you wanted so badly is attained and then the excitement is over. On how any event is eagerly planned for and then once it occurs, it’s just another day.

A holiday can be mulled over for months and then it just flies by in ten days.

Kids’ birthdays are thought over with such great care, decorations and clothes chosen, cake designed, return gifts hashed out, and poof, the day flies by.

Then once it’s all over, you are left with a sudden emptiness, a lack of purpose. Almost a crash.

But then you look back to that day, that event, that moment, and you realise what you have gained. You have gained a stock of memories, some happy, some sad. And the greatness of the human mind is that you will remember both with a smile.
